Beyond a hundred kilometres or so the arithmetic changes. A train imposes connections and timetables; a short flight adds two transfers, a check-in and special baggage fees. A car with a driver then competes not on price but on total door-to-door time and on comfort: one vehicle, no handling of luggage, the departure time you choose, and the option to stop. We regularly run to the northern Alps — Courchevel, Val d'Isère, Méribel, Tignes — to Provence, to northern Italy as far as Genoa, Turin and Milan, and to Switzerland. Over these distances the price is firm and quoted in advance, tolls and fuel included, whatever the journey actually takes.

We check your actual arrival time before every pick-up. A delay is never charged to you.
Over five hours on the road the car is not a detail. The van gives you the volume for ski equipment or a week's luggage, and the room for a group. The executive saloon prioritises rear comfort, sound insulation and the ability to work. We recommend one or the other according to the route and the number of passengers.
They are planned and not charged extra. On a run to the Alps or to Milan, one or two stops are normal. The car carries water and charging sockets. If you would rather drive straight through, that works too: it's your call.
Runs to the resorts require compliant winter equipment and sometimes chains. We set off equipped and we follow the road bulletins: if a road closes or access is restricted, we tell you as soon as we know, with the revised time. A journey that cannot be made is not charged.
Italy and Switzerland require no particular formality, but every passenger needs valid identification. Checks are occasional but real, particularly around Ventimiglia. Tolls in both countries are included in the quoted price.
